  42.        This section lists the subsystems (and their sizes) of the
  43.        IRIS InSight Base Subsystem software.

  45.        You can use the software installation instructions in the
  46.        _P_e_r_s_o_n_a_l _S_y_s_t_e_m _A_d_m_i_n_i_s_t_r_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e to install this
  47.        product.  If you are installing this software for the first
  48.        time, the default subsystems are installed if you click the
  49.        _I_n_s_t_a_l_l _A_u_t_o_m_a_t_i_c_a_l_l_y button.  To install a different set of
  50.        subsystems, click the _C_u_s_t_o_m_i_z_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n button and make
  51.        your new selections.  Then click the _S_t_a_r_t button to launch
  52.        the installation.

  87.        using IRIX.  You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to
  88.        the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for complete
  89.        installation instructions.

  92.        2.4  _P_r_e_r_e_q_u_i_s_i_t_e_s

  94.        Your workstation must be running IRIX 6.5 or greater in
  95.        order to use this release of IRIS InSight Base.
  96.  
  97.        2.5  _C_o_m_p_a_t_i_b_i_l_i_t_y
  98.  
  99.        It is possible to mount and access books from a machine
  100.        running a different version of IRIX. In general, to avoid
  101.        any incompatibilities, the client machine should have
  102.        version 3.x (or greater) of the InSight Viewer (and version
  103.        3.x, or greater, of SGIHelp) installed.  In this scenario,
  104.        the help for certain applications may not work properly due
  105.        to changes in both the applications themselves and in the
  106.        documentation (between the different versions of IRIX).
  107.  
  108.        Japanese books cannot be viewed using a version 2.x InSight
  109.        Viewer and _m_u_s_t be viewed using a version 3.x (or greater)
  110.        viewer.
  111.  
  112.        The new InSight Viewer and SGIHelp can view all books
  113.        distributed as part of IRIX 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 or 6.5.  The
  114.        opposite may not be true (in general, the 2.x versions of
  115.        InSight cannot read books published for IRIX 6.3, 6.4 and
  116.        6.5).
